Skagit Valley College Dental Therapy Training Lab
First-year students in the newly created Dental Health Aide Therapist (DHAT) program will train in this simulation lab before moving to their clinical site at the Swinomish Dental Clinic and DHAT Training Center (also by HKP, see here). A general-purpose classroom in Angst Hall was repurposed for this lab, where up to 12 students at a time can work on simulation stations and the manikins have various interchangeable mouthpieces for different procedures. This program is the first of its kind in the lower forty-eight states.
